Ilium Oxytet-200 L.A.

Actions
For use in cattle, pigs and sheep. OXYTET-200 L.A. has activity against a large number of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria via its ability to interfere with protein synthesis. It is rapidly absorbed following injection, and therapeutic blood and tissue concentrations are maintained for 3 - 5 days.

OXYTET-200 L.A. diffuses readily into most body tissues, reaching high concentrations in liver, bile, urine, bone and lungs.

OXYTET-200 L.A. also diffuses through the placenta into the
foetal circulation. The liver concentrates and metabolises OXYTET-200 L.A. with excretion
being via the bile/faeces and in the urine where it remains in its biologically active form.
